* Certification Categories

1. Net Zero Certified

To certify and recognize buildings around the world that achieve Net Zero Energy performance through rigorous, streamlined, and impartial verification.

  1. Must be DOE Zero Energy Ready Home (ZERH) certified
  2. Must include on-site solar capable of offsetting 100% of design energy usage
  3. Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) may be used to offset actual energy use

2. Net Zero Energy Verified

  1. Requires 24 months of energy bills showing 100% offset through on-site generation or green energy procurement (RECs or PPAs)
